Highwaymen loot valuables from bus passengers

JESSORE, Oct 19 (UNB): Highwaymen looted cash and valuables worth over Tk .20 million from the passengers of a night coach near Humkura bridge on the Jessore-Narail road early Thursday, injuring 10 passengers.
Sources said when the Narail bound night coach from Dhaka reached near the bridge at 4.00am the gang numbering 12/15 halted the bus by putting barricade on the road.
They swooped on the passengers and took away gold jewelry, mobile phone sets and other valuables at gunpoint. Later, they managed to flee away with the booty.
