Hili, Sonamasjid land port operations to be suspended for 10 days

All commercial activities, including import and export, will be closed at Hili Land Port in Dinajpur and Sonamasjid land port in Chapainawabganj for 10 consecutive days from March 18 to March 27 on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day.
Commercial activities will resume through this port from March 28, Hili Land Port Import Exporters Association General Secretary Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi said in a press release on Monday, report agencies.
Although commercial activities are closed, the movement of passport-holding passengers between the two countries will remain normal.
Ruhul Amin, secretary of the C&F Agents Association of Sonamasjid land port, said travel for passengers holding valid passports will continue as usual.
After the holiday, trade operations will resume at the port from the morning of March 28.
