Hindu Mohajote pushes for 3-day Durga Puja holiday

Leaders of Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajote (BJHM) Friday renewed their demand for a three-day government holiday during Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community, reports UNB.
"We get a one-day leave on Dashami, the last day of the festival, though the whole Durga Puja is a five-day long festival. We want the government to grant us a three-day vacation to celebrate the biggest festival properly," said Mohajote president Manoj Kumar Mondol.
He was speaking at a sit-in programme organised by BJHM in front of the Jatiya Press Club in the capital.
