Historic Mujibnagar Day today

The ruling Awami League (AL) has chalked out an elaborate programme on the occasion of the historic Mujibnagar Day today (Friday) that marks the formation of Bangladesh government in exile during the Liberation War, reports UNB.
As part of the programme, the party will hoist the national as well as the party flags atop Bangabandhu Bhaban and party offices of all units at 6:00am.
Wreaths will be placed on the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Bangabandhu Bhaban at 7:00am.
Leaders and workers of the ruling party will also place wreaths on the graves of three of the four national leaders at the Banani graveyard at 7:15am.
The ruling party will hold a discussion meeting at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre at 3:00pm.
Prime Minister and AL chief Sheikh Hasina will preside over the meeting to be attended by central party leaders and intellectuals.
