Hit by train, man dies in Lalmonirhat

LALMONIRHAT , Oct 12 (UNB): A 60-year-old man died on Thursday when a commuter train hit him at Hatibandha upazila in Lalmonirhat.
The incident happened at the North Parulia railway gate area of the upazila around 11:00 am on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Abdul Majid of Uttar Parulia village of Patikapara union of the upazila.
According to police and local sources, Abdul Majid was hit by the commuter train while walking on the railway track. Locals rescued him and took him to Hatibandha Upazila Health Complex.
