HK goods exports rise 19.9pc

HONG KONG, April 20 (Xinhua): Hong Kong's Census and Statistics Department announced Tuesday that the city's volume of total exports grew 19.9 per cent year-on-year in the first two months this year, meanwhile the volume of imports rose 14 per cent. During the two-month period, the volume of goods re-exports grew 20.5 per cent compared to the same period in 2010, while that of domestic exports fell 4.3 per cent. For February alone, the department said the volume of Hong Kong's goods re-exports grew 19.5 per cent year-on-year, while that of domestic exports fell 4.9 per cent.
