HK shares higher at open

Hong Kong shares rose 0.25 per cent in early exchanges on Friday, extending the previous day’s gains and following another pick-up in New York. The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 56.69 points to 23,010.45 in the first few minutes, according to AFP.
