Hockey Fed to get Tk 1.2m donation for Asia Cup

Bangladesh Hockey Federation (BHF) will get Tk 1.2 million (Tk 12 lakh) donation for the Asia Cup Hockey to be held on May 9-19 in Malaysia.
BHF general secretary Jamil Uddin Sunday informed the press that the National Sports Council (NSC) sanctioned the donation on the day. They had sought Tk 2.6 million, he said.
Although late, the federation will accord reception to the national hockey team on April 21 for emerging unbeaten champions in the Asia Cup qualifying round in Singapore last year.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Ahad Ali Sarkar will attend the reception at Dhaka Club, reports UNB.
