Holcim distributes relief for flood victims at Sonargaon

Holcim, the leading cement manufacturer of the country, distributed relief among flood victims of Sonargaon Upazilla in Narayanganj recently.
The major areas of Sonargaon including Jaochar, Mangalorgao and Pirojpur have been inundated with floodwaters. Many people of the areas are facing difficulties in managing the basic necessities of food, drinking water, shelter and medi-care services.
As part of corporate social responsibility (CSR), Holcim extended its possible supports wherever they operate their businesses.
About 800 families received relief materials from Holcim's two relief distribution points -- Meghna Shilpanchal High School and Pirojpur Union Parishad (UP).
Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Sonargaon Obaidur lauded Holcim for its relief support for the flood-affected people at the upazilla.
Holcim General Manager (Admin/HRD) Bashir Ahmed, Sonargaon UNO Obaidur Rahman and Pirozpur UP Chairman Rafiqul Islam and members of the joint forces attended the relief distribution programme.
Holcim VP (Operations) BJ Kim, GM (Finance) Jasim Uddin, GM (Customer Care) Niaz Uddin Mahmood, DGM (Procurement) Abdur Rahim, DGM (Quality Assurance) GMG Mostafa and Manager Admin/HRD Farid Uddin Kamal were also present.
