Holcim organises training for its sales personnel

Holcim, a leading cement company in the country, organised a two-day training programme titled 'Refresher-2007' for its sales and marketing personnel at a city hotel recently.
The main theme of the training programme was 'Aiming High, Climbing Higher", said a press release.
The main objective of the programme was to reinvigorate the spirit that the sales personnel need everyday.
About 70 sales personnel of the company participated in the training programme and received training on various aspects of the company.
Managing Director (MD) of the company PN Iyer, in his speech, said: ''Our vision is to provide foundation for the future of the society while our mission is to be the most respected and attractive company in our industry creating value for all our stakeholders.''
He thanked the participants for their good performance in 2006 and in the last 10 month of 2007.
He also urged them to make their efforts to be more customer-friendly in future.
The two-day training programme included topics like 'marketing objectives and strategies', 'sales skill', 'production process', 'human resource development', 'business planning', 'branding', 'customer relationship management', 'order processing system' 'finance for sales personnel', etc. Holcim's Regional Training and Learning Manager for South Asia and Asean region Senarath Jayasinghe imparted major part of sales training while high officials of the company imparted training on other areas of their respective fields.
