Holcim Bangladesh Ltd, Orion Group and Sublime Resources signed a joint agreement recently in the city. Under the agreement Holcim Bangladesh will supply cement in the "Mayor Mohammad Hanif (Jatrabari- Gulistan)" flyover project. MD of Holcim Bangladesh Mr. Rajnish Kapur, MD of Orion Group Mr. Salman Obaidul Karim and MD of Sublime Resources Mr. Sheikh Aminur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of their companies in the project office at the capital. Orion Group will implement the project on Build Own Operate Transfer (BOOT) basis. The 9.5 kilometer long 4 Lane flyover includes 11 slip roads and will stretch from the Dhaka-Chittagong highway to Palashi. It will be the country's longest flyover. It will create a great impact on the socioeconomic development of the country. This flyover will reduce the traffic jam of the capital and its adjacent cities to a great extent. Construction work of the flyover will be completed by the end of next year, as expected by the authority.
