Holcim trains staff of dealers, retailers

Holcim, a leading cement manufacturer of the country, held a day-long training programme called 'Training for Channel Partner's Employees' for the employees of its sales partners at Fu-Wang Bowling Club, Tejgaon-Gulshan Link Road in the city recently.
About 220 employees of Holcim's dealers and retailers, who are mainly sales managers, accountants and executives of various functions coming from Dhaka city and adjoining areas, attended this programme.
As the dealers and retailers create channel and take the major responsibility to distribute cement among developers, contractors, individual home-builders and other consumers, Holcim treats them as channel partners.
The day-long training covered topics like occupational health and safety, product knowledge, salesmanship, know-your-customer, customer relationship management, branding and other marketing issues.
Holcim General Manager (Customer Care) Niaz Uddin Mahmood made a presentation titled 'Holcim- the Global Leader of Cement' while DGM (brand support) Shankar Kumar Roy, made another presentation on customer relationship management and branding in this training programme.
Besides, DGM (customer care) Jashim Uddin Khandakar gave a presentation on 'Salesmanship' and 'Know Your Customer' and DGM (quality assurance) GMG Mostafa made presentation on 'Product Knowledge'.
At the beginning of the presentation period, Senior Executive (safety) Mahbubul Alam made presentation on 'General Safety Awareness'. After completion of all presentations, the participants took part in a lively open discussion.
A raffle draw and a colourful cultural programme were organised with a grand dinner party in honour of the participants.
