Tuesday, 22 March 2011

BOLTON, United Kingdom, Mar 21 (AFP): Bolton midfielder Stuart Holden is expected to be out of action for six months with a knee injury, the Premier League club confirmed Monday. Holden had 26 stitches inserted in the gash on his knee following a challenge with Manchester United's Jonny Evans in the 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Saturday, which saw the defender sent off. The 25-year-old United States international will take no further part in the season, including the FA Cup semi-final against Stoke at Wembley on April 17.
