Holy Ashura observed in districts

KHULNA, Nov 5: The holy Ashura was observed on Tuesday on the 10th Muharram commemorating the Karbala tragedy, in Khulna, Khalishpur and Daulatpur area of Khulna city as elsewhere in the country with due solemnity and religious fervour.  
Various religious organisations in the city chalked out elaborate programmes including Quran khani, offering special prayers and bringing out Tazia procession in observance of the day.

BSS reports from Rajshahi: The Muslims in Rajshahi city like other parts of the country observed the holy Ashura yesterday marking the 10th day of Muharram with due religious solemnity and in a befitting manner.
Different religious organizations, including Islamic Foundation, observed the day through various programmes.
