Holy Shab-e-Barat observed in dists

GOPALGANJ, Jun 14: The holy Shab-e-Barat was observed in a religious fervour and devotion in Gopalganj yesterday (Friday night).
The devout Muslims spent the night at mosques and homes offering prayers, reciting from the holy Quran and seeking blessings of Allah for life, peace, progress and prosperity of their families, relatives and friends as well as of the nation.
The devotees visited graves to pray for the salvation of the souls of their beloved ones who passed away.
Traditional foods like hand made rice-bread, halwa, semai and different kinds of meat were prepared and served in the rural and urban areas.

BSS report from Joypurhat: The holy Shab-e-Barat was observed in the district with due religious fervour and solemnity last night.
Hundreds of the Muslims of all ages attended special discussions on this most meaningful night of forgiveness, fortune, hopes and aspirations at mosques, offered 'nafal' prayers both at mosques and homes and cited from the Quran throughout the night.
They offered special munajats seeking divine blessings from the Almighty Allah for long life, peace, progress, good health and happiness for them, their families, relatives and friends and forgiveness, eternal peace for their departed parents, generations, near and dearer ones.
A large number of mosques were colorfully illuminated, on the occasion. Milad mahfils and 'zikrs' were organised and 'tobaraks' were distributed at all mosques and important places.
The noted Olamaye-Kerams, Islamic thinkers and Imams delivered lectures in the special discussions arranged at the mosques after the Esha Prayers elaborately narrating the spiritual significance of the most sacred night.
Hundreds of the Muslims stayed for the whole night at the mosques, offered special prayers and 'ziarats' at the graveyards of their forefathers and departed relatives, friends and nearer and sought forgiveness and eternal peace for all.
