Holy Shab-e-Qadr Tuesday

The holy Shab-e-Qadr or Lailatul Qadr, superior to thousand nights as per the holy Quran, will be observed Tuesday night.
On this glorified night, the Muslims believes that the first verses of the holy book Quran was revealed upon Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to show the mankind the path of worldly and eternal emancipation.
President M Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Opposition Leader Rowshan Ershad and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia on Monday greeted the countrymen and Muslims across the world on the occasion of the holy Lailatul Qadr.
In separate messages on the eve of the holy night, they prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the country and the Muslim Ummah, a BSS report added.
The president, in his message, greeted the Muslims in Bangladesh and throughout the world on the holy occasion.
In a separate message, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina termed the Lailatul Qadr as a glorified night of Ramadan.
"I pray to Almighty Allah for continued progress, peace and welfare of our beloved motherland and the Muslim Ummah on this holy night," she added.
Muslim devotees will offer special prayers overnight at mosques and homes, seeking divine blessings and mercy of Almighty Allah for themselves as well as the country and the Muslim Ummah.
Special prayers and sermons will be arranged at Baitul Muqarram National Mosque and other mosques across the country on that night.
Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and other private TV channels will air special programmes highlighting the significance of the holy night.
