Hong Kong edge higher

Hong Kong stocks gained 0.55 per cent in opening exchanges on Wednesday, in line with a broad regional advance, as investors await the release of preliminary Chinese manufacturing data. The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 124.58 points to 22,855.26 in the first few minutes of trade in the morning, according to AFP.
