Hong Kong elect to bat against Afghanistan

Minnows Hong Kong chose to bat after winning the toss against newcomers Afghanistan in the fifth match of World T20 cricket tournament in Chittagong on Tuesday afternoon. The match at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium is all the more important for both teams since they lost their respective first matches on Sunday. Hosts Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets. Hong Kong were humiliated by Nepal who won by 80 runs. A loss in Tuesday’s match would mean certain exit for the losing side from the qualifying rounds of the T20 meet. The other two teams of the four-member group – Bangladesh and Nepal – will face it off with the match starting at 7:30pm, according to a news agency.
