A Dhaka court has placed Fatema Khatun, a director of Mind Aid Psychiatry and De-Addiction Hospital, on a four-day remand in the case lodged over the murder of senior assistant superintendent of Police Anisul Karim Shipon, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah passed the order on Sunday as police produced Fatema before the court and sought a five-day remand for her.
Earlier on November 10, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam placed officials and staff of the hospital on a seven-day remand in the case.

According to the police, ASP Shipon had been brought to the hospital at around 11.30 am on November 9 for mental treatment, but no doctor was available at that time.
"The 10 accused took the victim to the observation room on the second floor of the hospital by force. They beat him repeatedly there, at one stage a couple of them pinned him on the ground and thrashed him on head and shoulder. They tied the victim with a scarf," the investigation officer said.
ASP Shipon became senseless and when his relatives took him to National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), the attending doctor there declared him dead.
ASP Shipon's father filed the case with Adabor Police Station against 15 people.
