Hotel manager hacked to death in city

A hotel manager was hacked to death by miscreants at Malibagh rail crossing in the capital early Tuesday.
Police said Durjoy Chakrabarti,50, of Datchar village in Kachua
upazila of Chandpur and also manager of Dipa Hotel of Malibagh area, went to sleep along with another staff Liton inside the hotel at
night.
Liton along with his associates chopped Durjoy indiscriminately at
dead of night, killing him on the spot and then fled away through the back door of the hotel.
As the employees of the hotel found the shutter closed for a long
time this morning they informed the hotel owner.
Later they broke the shutter and found Durjoy lying on the bed in a
pool of blood.
Police, on information, recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka
Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
