Hotel workers for payment of all arrears, Eid bonus

The country's hotel and restaurant workers have demanded to the authorities to pay all arrears and festival bonus at least a couple of days before the Eid.
"Hotel owners are depriving the workers by not paying their due salary and bonus during Ramadan on the excuse of low sales," said the Bangladesh Hotel, Restaurant and Sweetmeat Workers Federation (BHRSWF) leaders in a press release Monday.
They urged the authorities concerned to declare the final gazette of the wage policy to avert any untoward situation that might create unrest in the sector.
