House of HC judge in Feni torched, one arrested

FENI, Jan 8 (BSS): A house in Feni of a High Court (HC) judge, Justice Kazi Reza-Ul Hoque, who gave a verdict against Senior Vice-chairman of BNP Tarique Rahman, was torched and vandalised Wednesday night.
Police held one person for his suspected link to the incident.
Miscreants set ablaze boundary wall of the ancestral home of Justice Hoque after pouring kerosene at Mohammadpur Village of Dhalia Union under Feni Sadar Upazila Thursday night, police and local sources said.
They also vandalised the house.
Caretaker of the house informed police of the matter this morning.
High officials of police including Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahabub Morshed visited the place of occurrence. No case was filed in this regard.
