Housemaid commits \\\'suicide\\\'

A housemaid allegedly committed suicide at Korail slum in the city Monday, reports BSS.
The dead is Hosne Ara (14), daughter of Md Helal Uddin, hailing from Purbodhala of Netrokona.
"Hosne Ara might have died because of taking poison, as blood and spume were coming out from her mouth at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). She died at around 3.30 am Monday," said sub-inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam Khan of Banani Police Station.
But, the police officer was not confirmed whether the maid herself took the poison or was forced to take.
Hosne Ara was working at the house of a garments trader Shuvo at Banani for the last one and a half months. Shuvo is under police watch, he added.
Quoting Shuvo, the police officer said the housemaid suffered serious injuries after she fell in the bathroom.
"But, we found no injury mark on her body," SI Jahangir also said.
The victim's father - Helal Uddin - claimed that her daughter has been killed. But no case was lodged till filing of the report at around 6.15pm Monday.
