Houseowner killed by daccoits in Narsingdi

NARSINGDI, May 29 (UNB): Armed robbers looted valuables and cash from a house at Pashchim Basail in Sadar upazila early Wednesday, leaving the house owner dead and four others injured.
Police said the robbers, numbering 10-12, broke into the house of Sultan Uddin Khan around 3:00am and held the house inmates hostage at gunpoint.
They looted five tolas of gold ornaments, cash Tk 0.2 million, five mobile phone sets and other valuables worth Tk 0.5 million.
As villagers rushed to the spot hearing screams of the house inmates, the robbers stabbed Sultan and others. Sultan died on the spot.
