Housewife beaten to death by husband

KHULNA, Nov 27: A housewife was beaten to death by her husband over extramarital affair at village Nilkanthopur under Kalaroa thana of Satkhira Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Salina Khatun (25), wife of Shahin Hossain of the village.
Police said that Shahin Hossain married Salina Khatun 14 years ago. After marriage Salina was tortured by the inmates of the in-laws house over trifling matters. On that night her husband beat her.
One commits suicide
Another report says: A housewife committed suicide by taking poison over family feud at village Chumuria under Asasuni thana early Monday.
The deceased was identified as Masura Khatun (28), wife of Mofizul Islam of village Chumuria under Asasuni thana of Satkhira district.
Bar assoc election held
Another report adds: The BNP-backed forum has bagged 10 seats including those of president and secretary in the Khulna Bar Association election held here on Monday.
The grand party alliance supported panel bagged 4 seats out of the total 14 seats including the position of the vice president. A total of 961 voters among 1080 cast their votes in the election.
