Housewife burnt to death

A housewife was burnt to death in a fire that broke out at a house in Bhanga upazila in Faridpur district on Thursday. The deceased was identified as Durga Rani Biswas, 40, wife of Ananda Biswas of Suadi village. Nazmul Islam, officer-in-charge of Bhanga Police Station, said a fire erupted at the house of Ananda Biswas at Suadi village around 3:30 pm. Durga’s body caught fire while she rushed inside her house in a bid to save her Tk 80,000 cash kept there from the blaze and she died on the spot. The cause of the fire could not be known immediately, according to a news agency.
