Housewife chopped dead by husband

A housewife was chopped to death allegedly by her husband over a family feud in Durgapur Upazila in Rajshahi district on Monday. The deceased was identified as Anwara Begum, 50, wife of Habibor Rahman, a resident of Bhabanipur village. Parimal Kumar, officer-in-charge of Durgapur Police Station, said Habibor engaged in an altercation with Anwara over a trifling matter at about 10:30am. At one stage, he chopped Anwara with a sharp weapon, leaving her seriously injured. She died on way to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital, according to UNB.
