Housewife, daughter slaughtered in Ctg

A housewife and her daughter were slaughtered by unknown miscreants in the CDA Residential Area in Agrabad of Chittagong city on Monday morning. The deceased were identified as Rizia Khatun, 50, and her daughter Saima Akhtar, 18. Tanvir Arafat, assistant deputy commissioner (West Zone) of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP), said neighbours of the deceased informed police after noticing the two bodies lying slaughtered inside their (deceased’s) house in the area around 11:00am. Police recovered the bodies and sent those to Chittagong Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Details of the incident were still awaited, according to UNB.
