Housewife drowns in Sirajganj

A housewife drowned in a pond in Dhukuria Bera village under Belkuchi Upazila in Sirajganj district on Wednesday afternoon. The dead is Bilkis Banu, alias Bilkis Khatun, 23, wife of Abul Baki, of Kalagachi village. Locals said Bilkis Banu drowned in the pond adjacent to her house while washing clothes. Later, locals recovered her floating body after a frantic search. An unnatural death case was filed in this connection, according to a news agency.
