Housewife gang-raped in city after abduction

A housewife has been gang-raped in Sabujbagh area in Dhaka city after being picked up from her house. Sources at Dhaka Medical College Hospital said a gang of local young men stormed into the house of a CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver in the area on Wednesday night (August 26) and beat the auto-rickshaw driver indiscriminately. The miscreants also sexually assaulted his wife in front of him and abducted her. The criminals then took the housewife to an under-construction building near their house where they violated her in turns. The victim filed a case against some youths with Sabujbagh Police Station on Thursday (August 27). She was taken to the One-stop Crisis Centre (OCC) at the DMCH on Friday, according to a news agency.
