Housewife jumps from city bldg, dies

A housewife died after she jumped from the rooftop of a seven-storey building at Kalyanpur in the capital Wednesday morning, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Sadia (18), wife of Badsha Mia of the area.
Inspector Mozammel, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) police camp, said Sadia sustained injuries as she jumped from the rooftop of the building at house no-16 on the Road No-2 in Kalyanpur at around 6:00am. Critically injured, Sadia was rushed to the DMCH where she succumbed to her injuries at around 7:00am.
Police detained four people, including the victim's husband Badsha and her mother-in-law Shahnaj Begum.
