Housewife killed by \\\'husband\\\' in Sirajganj

A housewife was strangulated to death allegedly by her husband in Kazipur upazila in Sirajganj district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Aleya Begum, 35, wife of Sohrab Ali, a resident of Paranpur village. Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Kazipur Police Station said Aleya and Sohrab locked into an altercation over Sohrab’s extra-marital relationship with one Marjina at about 4:00 am. At one stage, Sohrab and Marjina beat up Aleya mercilessly and then Sohrab strangled Aleya to death. When the incident came to light local people caught Sohrab and Marjina and handed them over to police. Police recovered the body and sent it to Sirajganj General Hospital for autopsy, according to UNB.
