Housewife killed for dowry in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, May 13 (BSS): A housewife was allegedly killed for dowry by her husband at Natungaon village under Sadar upazila of the district last night.
The victim was identified as Mukta Begum, 24, mother of two children and wife of Mustakin of the same area.
Police and family members said Mustakin was married to Mukta eight years ago and he used to torture her demanding dowry.
On the day of the incident, Mustakin strangulated his wife to death when she refused to bring money from her father. Being informed, police recovered the body this morning and sent it to  hospital morgue for autopsy.
