Housewife killed over land dispute in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Mar 27: A housewife was killed in a clash over a land dispute at Raghunathpur village of Phulbari Upazila in Dinajpur district Wednesday noon.
The deceased was identified as Beauty Begum (32), wife of Abdur Razzak of the same village.
According to sources, there had been a longstanding conflict between Beauty's husband Abdur Razzak and one Jalal Uddin of the village over the ownership of a piece of land. As a sequel to the conflict, Jalal Uddin and his associates assaulted Beauty with sharp weapons, leaving her dead on the spot and four others injured.
