Housewife murdered for dowry

Police recovered the body of Selina Akter (20) which was hanging from a tree in Char Hijli village of the Manikganj town Friday. Selina's brother Manir Hossain Musa said his sister was married to Gafur Mia of the same village 10-month ago. Gafur Mia used to torture Selina for dowry regularly. On Friday Gafur and his family members strangled her to death for dowry and hanged her body from a tree. Selina's bother filed a case with the Manikganj Sadar Thana. - UNB
