Housewife murders husband

A housewife allegedly killed her husband by slitting his throat in Boraigram upazila in Natore district on Wednesday. The deceased was identified as Selim Hossain, 30, son of Abul Hossain, a resident of Lakashmipur village. Police, quoting locals, said Selim had been addicted to drugs for long and he often used to torture his wife Jesmin over family affairs. He also demanded dowry from Jesmin and often beat her for money to buy contraband grugs. Fed up with the barbaric behaviour of her husband, Jesmin slit Selim's throat with a sharp weapon around 7:00am when he was asleep, leaving him dead on the spot. Being informed, police recovered the body and sent it to a local hospital morgue for autopsy. Police arrested Jesmin. A case was filed, according to a news agency.
