Housing fair pulls huge crowds

The 'National Housing Fair-2019', which attracted a large number of visitors, concluded in the city on Wednesday, said a press release.
The Ministry of Housing and Public Works (MoHPW) organises the exhibition on the first Monday of October month every year in observance of 'World Habitat Day'.
President Md Abdul Hamid inaugurated the three-day fair at a ceremony at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on Oct 07. Housing and Public Works Minister S M Rezaul Karim was also present. The aim of the event is to bring all organisations related to housing sector under one umbrella.
A total of 24 real estate companies participated at the fair, arranged with the assistance of Housing and Building Research Institute. Hundreds of spectators, including investors and buyers visited the event.
Besides private companies and institutes, different government organisations, including Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha, Public Works Department, National Housing Authority and Urban Development Directorate, also took part in the exposition.
