Housing ministry orders audit of RAJUK activities

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has ordered an audit of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK)'s 16 years of financial and other activities, spanning from 2009 to 2024, through its internal audit department, reports bdnews24.com.
A press statement from the ministry on Sunday said the directive was given following the allocation of functions of the Department of Internal Audit of the Ministry of Housing and Public Works, the charter of duties of the officers of the department and the decision of the budget management meeting of the ministry held on Apr 23.
The financial account of income and expenditure will include the transfer and allocation of plots, flats and other activities, which the ministry has ordered to be completed within three months.
The ministry has given the following directives:
• The Department of Internal Audit will formulate an audit plan to conduct the audit activities. The audit activities will be carried out accordingly.
• The audit should be conducted in accordance with the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha Act and related regulations.
• Detailed information (name, designation, mobile phone number, etc.) of the members of the audit team must be sent to the ministry before the audit.
• RAJUK must be kept properly informed about the audit activities.
• The audit process must be completed within three months.
