Housing Ministry to expand services

The 18th meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Housing and Public Works Ministry was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the city Tuesday with committee chairman ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury in the chair, reports BSS.
The participants at the meeting discussed expansion of service to the city dwellers through construction and renovation of roads, easing traffic jam and ensuring housing facilities, an official handout said.
They recommended for initiating time befitting measures and realistic solutions in these regards through inter-ministerial meetings.
The participants discussed location of Tejgaon airport, demolition of unsafe high-rise buildings and if required, constructing new high- rise buildings in different zones in the city.
