How many bodies will satisfy them?

Bangladesh is a democratic, secular and peace-loving country. It is the only nation that sacrificed lives to defend its mother tongue. It achieved independence after nine months of armed struggle against the Pakistan occupation army. Since independence, it has made significant progress in almost all sectors including agriculture and industry. But sadly the country is now reeling under a serious political turmoil, which has already had a deadly impact on the national economy. The majority of people live here on daily income and they have to work to survive no matter whether there is a hartal or a blockade in the country. During the last few days a significant number of vehicles were set on fire, and a large number of innocent people were either killed or burnt.
Furthermore, the ongoing transport blockade is taking a huge toll on the economy, with the vital garment sector hit particularly hard. As citizens of an independent country, people should have security of their lives as human life is more important than politics. The warring political camps should sit across the table to ensure security of life for the people in the first place and then do whatever is necessary to restore peace and harmony in the country. The people of Bangladesh do not want their country to be bracketed with Pakistan or Afghanistan.
