How many more children will be killed brutally?
Thursday, 16 July 2015
The recent murder of a teenage boy named Rajon was inconceivably brutal and tragic. For ordinary people like us, it is difficult to comprehend how can someone kill an innocent boy of only 13 years through physical torture. The killer in this case went as far as posting their abuses over social media. They did not care for anything and were not afraid of law. Thus they took law in their own hands and committed the murder. I am sure, the incident will badly affect the moral of the children and they will feel threatened. They will gradually lose their faith in us, that is, their elder generation. Rajon murder is not an isolated event, but an indicator of decaying moral values. It is also a pointer to the fact that we have failed miserably in providing safety and security for our children. In most cases like this, the offenders escape dramatically, although in this case, the killers of Rajon were caught by the police. This time we can expect due punishment for them according to law and let the world know by using social and other media, that killing of children like Rajon is rising and situation will move out of our control if immediate steps are not taken. The intelligentsia should also come forward and join hands with the government in a long battle towards safety and security of the children.
