THERE comes certain time in life when everything becomes difficult. Those who are brave can face them smartly. Those who are not, become worried, suffer from anxiety, cannot work and become failure.
It is very common for students to experience such situations when the examination is very near but their own preparation is very poor. Those patient and hard-working can overcome such situation.
Following are some tips for those whose preparation is very poor but the exam is very close:
Schedule your time: With a very cool brain, see how much time is left for the examination. Plan your lessons accordingly. It is not just that you are facing the challenges of huge study load before the exam, many of your seniors faced the same situation in life and they could overcome the situation. You can also overcome the critical situation-have the confidence.
Be relaxed: You must be very relaxed both mentally and physically. Many might comment in a negative manner about your situation. You must have the power to digest all those negative and discouraging words and study at your own pace.
Think deeply about probable questions: Contemplate on the issue of probable questions that you might have to face in the examination. Start taking good preparation on them. You also need to see answers to those questions which are less probable. This will make you confident about the examination and might be helpful in case you are bound to answer from those 'less probable' questions.
Breath in and breath out for long: Breath in and breath out for long whenever you feel tensed. This will help you reduce your tension and you will be able to concentrate on your studies better.
Think much: Whatever you have read, think a lot on what you have read. Enjoy silence. When you keep silence, you can actually think better, connect your lessons and thus remember better. Close your eyes when you are thinking. Thinking deeply will help you tremendously and you will feel more confident.
Reduce your sleeping hour: Now that you have to study more to cover the preparation, you might need to reduce your sleeping hour. Remember sleeping is a matter of habit and you can really reduce the sleeping hour. Hazrat Imam Abu Hanifa (R) used to sleep two hours a day. If you reduce your sleeping hour to around four hours, you can still have a good health. If need be, you can further reduce your sleeping hour. One cautionary statement: do not worry about your less sleeping hour even in the least. Once you start worrying about reduced sleeping hour, it would be harmful for you, you will suffer from worries and that will affect your preparation for the exam.
Enjoy your preparation: You must learn how to enjoy your studies and how to enjoy your preparation. Preparing yourself successfully in shortest possible time will help you gain confidence. In real life when such situations will come that you have to work under pressure, you will not be panicked since you have already gained enough experience in life about how to deal with critical situations.
Take the vow not to be in the same situation again: You must promise yourself that you will not create same situation in your life again. The above tips are for that time when you are really in crisis moments and you should not welcome crisis moments all the time in your life. So once you have experienced overcoming the challenging situation, take the vow that you will be very careful about studies from the beginning of the academic year/semester.
