HSC candidate abducted, rescued

Police have rescued an HSC candidate an hour after she was abducted from in front of examination centre in Chokoria Upazila in Cox’s Bazar district. Four people have been detained with a car for involvement in the abduction, said Chokoria Police Station OC Pravash Chandra Dhar. Miscreants picked up Rumana Ishaq Nuri in a car from the gate of Chokoria Degree College around 9:45am on Tuesday, the OC said. When informed, police set up several check posts on different routes including the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway to block the kidnappers. An hour later, police tracked the car and chased it down to rescue the examinee. The abductors – Aman Ullah, Nasir Uddin, Salahuddin and Goribullah – were also detained, according to bdnews24.com.
