Huawei donates Tk 2.0m to CA's Relief Fund

Huawei, a leading Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer and solution provider Thursday extended hands to the flood victims of Bangladesh by donating Tk two million to the relief fund of the Chief Adviser (CA).
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Huawei Techno-logies Bangladesh Limited Wang Sheng Niu said on the occasion, "We want to stay beside the flood victims because we believe in info-tech can change life at the grassroots level. We think our donation will support some of the victims to start new life after the devastating flood."
"Huawei is people-oriented company and it has big corporate and social responsibilities to change the world. Moreover, it is continuing endeavour to improve the living standard of people. Our company thinks evolving teledensity can alleviate poverty," Niu said.
The company has over 500 Bangladeshi employees to serve the local market. Many telecommunication experts of the country are getting training on latest telecommunication tools from Shenzhen, China, the headquarters of Huawei.
It has been serving Bangladesh telecommunication sector from 1998. Most phone operators like Banglalink, Citycell, Aktel, Teletalk and PSTN operators are partners of our company and our partners are getting satisfactory services from us," he added.
