Huge Indian goods seized in Joypurhat, Dinajpur

RAB members and BDR jawans in separate drives seized huge Indian clothes and other goods from Joypurhat and neighbouring Dinajpur districts in three days till Monday, reports UNB.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of RAB forces raided a compartment of Nilphamari-bound Barind Express train from Rajshahi at Panchbibi rail station in Joypurhat Monday morning and seized Indian clothes and other goods worth about Tk 0.25 million (2.5 lakh).
Besides, another RAB team seized a microbus carrying Indian warm clothes worth 0.53 million from near Gopalpur mission area in Panchbibi Upazila Saturday night.
In another drive, BDR and RAB members seized Indian warm clothes worth about Tk 0.22 million from Basudevpur area on Hili-Joypurhat road in Dinajpur district Sunday night.
None was arrested in this connection.
