Tuesday, 12 March 2019

There is a huge scope for export of Bangladeshi leather goods in the Australian market if the exporters of the country can follow their fixed compliance, said Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI), reports BSS.
Leaders of ABCCI on Monday came up with the observation while holding a meeting with Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun at his office, said a press release.
Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Begum Parag and ABCCI President Obaidur Rahman, Vice President Nessar M Khan, General Secretary Shakil Ahmed Khan and Member of the Board of Directors Mohiuddin Ahmed Mahin, among others, were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Humayun said Australia is one of the important business and development partners of Bangladesh and Australian entrepreneurs have already expressed their interest in investing in the country's shipbuilding sector.
He urged ABCCI to encourage the entrepreneurs of Australia to invest in the sugar industry of Bangladesh.
"Australian entrepreneurs can invest in the country's different sectors, including agro-processing industry, information and technology and leather," he added.
