Huge progress made in revamping RMG industry: Mozena

US Ambassador in Dhaka Dan Mozena on Sunday said the government of Bangladesh has made a huge progress in revamping the readymade garment (RMG) industry during the last one year after the Rana Plaza collapse. He mentioned that the success of the government initiatives largely depends on the positive response from the industry.  The US diplomat made the observation during a meeting with Foreign Minister AH Mahood Ali at the state guesthouse Padma in the city where they discussed various issues of mutual interest, according to a foreign ministry media release. Referring to the annual Security Dialogue and Ticfa Council meeting which are scheduled to be held in Dhaka later this month, the Ambassador reiterated that the bilateral relations between the two countries are progressing in a stronger pace. The US envoy said his country does not believe that there is any room for perpetrating violence in a democratic process and laid emphasis on the importance of smooth democratic process in Bangladesh, according to a news agency.
