Human chain at JU demands justice for slain Sharmin

Students of Jahangirnagar University (JU) on Wednesday formed a human chain and staged a silent procession, demanding fair investigation and exemplary punishment for those responsible for the killing of Sharmin Jahan Khadija, a student of JU Dept of Public Administration.
The programme began at around 10:00 am in front of the Amar Ekushey Sculpture. From there, the students brought out a procession that marched along the campus roads and concluded at the Shaheed Minar with a rally.
Participants carried placards bearing various slogans calling for justice and punishment of the perpetrators.
They demanded a prompt and impartial investigation into the incident, warning that any delay in ensuring justice would trigger stronger protests.
