Human traffickers to face stern action

Thursday, 12 June 2014

State Minister for Home Asaduzzaman Khan on Thursday said the government will take stern action against those involved in human trafficking through sea routes. “An investigation is going on to find out the criminals as the government has taken a strong stance against human trafficking to different countries through water vessels,” he said. Asaduzzaman was talking to reporters over the killing of five Bangladeshis by human traffickers in a trawler in the Bay of Bengal on Wednesday. “No one will be spared and all those involved in the incident to be brought to justice,” he warned. Asaduzzaman said monitoring by the members of Coast Guard will be strengthened to prevent human trafficking through sea routes, according to UNB.
