The 66th birthday of novelist, writer and film maker Humayun Ahmed is being observed across the country on Thursday. Humayun Ahmed was one of the most popular authors, dramatists, rhymesters and play rights of the country. Born in Mymensingh district on November 13, 1948, Humayun Ahmed died of colon cancer while receiving treatment in a hospital in the USA on May 19, 2012, according to private TV channels.
